Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Applications Sales Executive are to effectively Grow the Application’s existing base of Client Accounts. The role will work in conjunction with internal and external resources to ensure the execution of strategies and programs designed around general applications portfolios for the Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prospect for new business.
– Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
– Working with Marketing to maintain a contact database for campaigns.
– Research organizations to identify new prospect targets.
– Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
– Schedule discovery meetings and follow-up meetings with prospects.
– Achieve strong conversion rates from phone and in-person discovery meetings.
– Complete understanding of the Applications’ business proposition.
– Complete understanding of all Applications Services and Solution offerings.
– Maintain a strong personal/professional network.
– Maintain accurate records pertaining to each prospect and lead within CRM tools.
– Development of new proposals and presentations.
– Work directly with Applications technical resources as needed.
– Attending weekly internal calls as needed.
– Prepare and present quarterly business plans to management.
– Mastering the Applications Sales & Marketing concepts delivered by different vendors.
Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of Software Applications business and market dynamics and requirements.
– Enough understanding of how SMB and mid-sized Enterprise business market customers require, search, compare, and consume technology services.
– Proficient in general MS-O365 applications.
– Strong organizational and presentation skills.
– Must have the ability to have both a presales conversation as well as a Business Conversation with prospects.
– Skill in preparing written communications and materials.
– Interpersonal skills: telephony, communication, active listening & customer care.
– Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
– Ability to overcome objections.
– Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
– Independent thinker who takes the initiative when appropriate
Must have a high level of business acumen.
– Excellent grammar, written and oral communication skills.
– Above- Average understanding of computer Applications and Software and industry trends.
– Must be willing and able to travel.
– Must have a successful track history of being in a Sales/Hunter role with a technology company.
